I asked one of the original trial participants of ForeverCleanForeverGreen to write something for my blog and I am so thrilled and humbled by her kinds words. Here's what EBB had to say:
I got to be one of the fortunate ones to try Forever Clean Forever Green before it was launched. I can't tell you how pleased I've been with it! I broke my shoulder several years ago and NOTHING makes it hurt like scrubbing the shower, so I have always been bad about letting it go several weeks and then been disgusted with it. Since I started using FCFG, it NEVER looks bad and if I could only get my husband to be more reliable about spraying, I don't think I would EVER have to clean my shower! I've used it in four different scenarios: 1) at work in our public shower, 2) in the shower I share with my husband and 3) my 23 year-old daughter's shower. 4) my dad and mom's shower. Here's a summary of what happened:
1) I hung it outside of the shower at work with instructions and a sheet where I asked everyone to sign if they took a shower and used it. It appears that I'm almost the only one to shower at work, but I was careful to make a note every time I used it. I told our cleaning crew that they were NOT to clean our shower. I take about 4 showers a week at work and the spray bottle lasted 45 days. I never felt it needed to be cleaned during that whole time and it was actually much cleaner feeling and looking than when the crew cleaned it twice a week!
2) As you can see from #1, I only shower at home a couple of times a week. Because of this, I've often let the shower go too long between cleanings and then been disgusted when I saw how yukky it had gotten. My husband uses lots of soap, splashes it everywhere and never cleans up after himself. Since I put the FCFG bottle in there, it's made a HUGE difference. It never looks really dirty - and if he doesn't use it, I can tell after just a few days. When I challenge him, he admits he hasn't used it. I roll my eyes and go scrub it again - painfully! I need to teach HIM how to scrub it and then I bet he would remember to spray! Even if he isn't 100% reliable, I never have to run in and do a major scrub when the grandson visits!
3) My daughter's shower has always had problems draining and when I went in there in the past, I've been totally disgusted by how bad she has let it get! We got the draining problem fixed and I asked her to start using the FCFG each time. She has been really faithful about it and I don't think she's cleaned it since she started using it 5 months ago. It still looks good!
4) My mother had a stroke several years ago and has had to give over the cleaning duties to my dad. He is your typical engineer perfectionist and has had to work very hard to keep their shower the way they want it. He's almost 85 years old and I wanted to make things easier for him. He's been using FCFG for two months now and says he hasn't felt a need to clean it during that time. He uses the squeegee after he showers, but my mother just sprays and leaves it. They are very happy with it!
I'm sold on FCFG and am excited about it being available!

Goodbye hard water spots!
Well, the website for ForeverCleanForeverGreen has launched. Many thanks to Suzanne Amelung @ Elementalcreations.net for such a great job of designing and getting the website functional. Now it is on to the next phase which is finding the right company to manufacture and bottle this amazing product and then finally to find the best way to get it in the hands of people who need help with keeping their showers clean and free of hard water spots and soap scum.
I am currently in the process of identifying manufacturers, so if anyone has any suggestions, tips or caveats they would be much appreciated. Also, if anyone with any experience in the retail side of marketing and how to best work with grocery stores and retail chains to get product on the shelves then I would love to hear from you, too.

On being a neat freak!
I'm a bit of a neat freak, I'll admit. I like for my closets to be organized and things to be neat and orderly. A few years ago I bought a hundred year old farm house and renovated it. In the bathroom I installed beautiful new clear glass doors on the shower. Much to my dismay, in no time they had hard water spots. So I found myself scrubbing. A lot.
You know the drill, soft scrub, bleach, scrub brush, scrubby pad and a lot of time. But the hard water spots were so stubborn. I went online and did some research to find out what would remove the spots. I tried everything. Baking soda, vinegar, baking soda and vinegar made into a paste, CLR, lemon juice, Rainex, you name it. And, yes I tried the Scrubbing Bubbles and Arm and Hammer shower sprays, too. They just didn't perform as advertised. At one point I took the shower doors off and took them out in the yard and laid them flat and applied various solutions. But nothing seemed to work that great. Yes, it did help some, but honestly, nothing worked great and I couldn't even tell you what worked the best. Besides, who has the time to do this all the time anyway?
So, I sold that darn house with those hard water spotted shower doors and bought a brand new house. I was determined to find a simple way to keep my new shower looking like new.
And that was when I finally stumbled upon just the right solution that is simple and easy to use and IT WORKS! Overjoyed, I put this solution in the hands of my roommate to use in his bathroom, too. The results have been beyond my wildest imagination. So I thought, I bet others would like to have this product, too. That was 4 years ago and I have since put this solution in the hands of several people with a questionnaire to fill out. The results of this trial were unanimous. This stuff works and is so easy to use.
Everyone agreed that they didn't have to clean their shower as long as they used the spray and it looked clean. Now stop and think about this for a minute. If you care at all about how clean your shower looks, then you would normally do an intensive top to bottom scrubbing at the minimum, every 2 weeks. And you know how nice that feeling is when you step into a fresh clean shower? Kinda like the first night after you change your sheets on the bed....ahhhh.
But I digress. So with my new formula, I found that if I was strict about taking 15 seconds to spray my shower after each use, then I could go 6 MONTHS without cleaning. Yes, I kept a journal and even took photos. The drain in my new shower is chrome, but the piping beyond that is white. Normally, this would be all mildewy and would have that orange discoloration. Mine is still white four years later. So out of guilt, I broke down and cleaned my shower at the 6 month mark. I just couldn't go any longer, even though, I clearly could have.
Now, I am in the process of bringing this amazing product to store shelves. It will be called ForeverCleanForeverGreen. The logo has been designed and the website is under construction.
So if you have been looking for an easy solution to having that five star hotel clean in your own house, then I hope you'll look into my exciting new formula. Thanks. jeff
